by Archbishop George Niederauer of San Francisco, in the presence of Cardinal Roger Mahony and Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop Pietro Sambi (Apostolic nuncio to the United States), about 60 bishops, many priests and deacons, and hundreds of other people gathered for the celebration at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.
